Summit Addresses Ministry to Orphans
Mar. 11, 2010

Board of General Superintendent Chair and founder of World Hope International, Dr. Jo Anne Lyon, said there are over 100 million orphans in the world. The Haiti earthquake underscores the problem, with hundreds of thousands orphaned in the country.
For churches interested in orphan ministry or for those who would like to know more about the adoption or foster care process, a summit led by recent director of the faith-based office at the White House, Jedd Medefind, will offer guidelines and training. The Christian Alliance for Orphans, led by Medefind, is sponsoring Summit VI, April 29 – 30, 2010, in Minneapolis, MN. Along with Jedd Medefind, speakers will include John Piper, Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman, Tom David, Dog Sauder, and Al Mohler.
