Fall for the Kingdom

John 12:23-26

Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. (John 12:24)

NO ONE WANTS TO FALL. Falling is synonymous with giving up or failing. The world around us tells us to avoid both at all cost. Our image takes a hit when we go down; we cannot let that happen. Then Jesus speaks the truth to our heart. His image of us is the only one that matters, and He tells us to not only fall, but die. We must look beyond ourselves and broaden our scope to include those who need to hear the message of Jesus Christ. To remain a single seed is selfish and a way of hoarding the good news. We are called to give ourselves completely. Being a follower of Christ is a wholehearted commitment. The seed that dies gives everything for the cause. A sacrifice has to be made. Take courage and make the decision to sacrifice yourself. Give of yourself rather than hide the gift Jesus gave you. Share your gifts, talents, and resources so many can benefit. Look for opportunities that will push you to serve Christ rather than self. Use your life to make the largest impact for the Lord possible. The result is nothing but gain. The kingdom of God will grow with our help. We decide if it grows one kernel at a time or many seeds at a time. Which will you choose?

Consider what you can say yes to, which will produce many seeds.
