Story Body
When Jesus heard this . . . he said . . . I have not found such great faith even in Israel. (Luke 7:9)
You are facing a dire situation, and things could go downhill really fast. Yet your faith is steadfast as you pursue God for answers with single focus. Did you know God marvels at your faith? Oh how I wish I could live on this level of faith always!
In today's Scripture reading, Jesus was encountered by two people, people who had faith that refused to quit in the face of impending death and incurable illness. These two individuals were included in the gospels to serve as faith models to us today.
Jairus and the woman with the issue of bleeding approached Jesus with enormous expectation and not a shred of doubt. Such faith is the highest honor that we can bestow on God.
During life's pilgrimage, our faith will be challenged and tested. There will be seasons when it may be weakened or even lost.
Yet faith can also be exercised, strengthened, built, and increased, preferably before a crisis arises. Romans 10:17 says, "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ." Using your faith should not be reserved for life's dire situations. Each day is a journey of faith with Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith and promises to never leave nor forsake us, in good times or in bad.
