ReStart Pastor for Cartersville (Part-time)

The South Coastal District of The Wesleyan Church

ReStart Pastor for Cartersville
Part-time

Community Wesleyan Church is located outside of Cartersville, GA. Cartersville is a bedroom community for those on the north end of Atlanta, GA. It is one of the fastest growing areas in Georgia. The town is growing in size and business community. The church facility was built about six years ago and the land was paid in full and debt free when the church built. The church owns over 20+ acres of prime real estate with great community visibility. The actual church location is in Euharle, GA.

Presently the church is about 35/40 in worship but believes God has called them to become a strong, growing, and healthy congregation that will reach the vast community. The core is a mixture of white and blue collar attenders. The laity are open to change and willing to be led. The District is looking for a ReStart pastor who will move to the Cartersville, GA area as a bi-vocational missionary and help build on the 35-40 people with a new beginning. Our goal is to ReStart the church in the fall of 2013 and the spring of 2014. It would be helpful if you would be willing to take the Church Planter Assessment on the E&CG webpage.

Please send all correspondence: resumes, photos, references to the South Coastal District of The Wesleyan Church - dan@southcoastal.org or call 678-977-2298 for more information, Promotional Sheet, etc.

Byram, MS

Senior Pastor - Trinity Wesleyan Church (Part-time)

Trinity Wesleyan Church

Senior Pastor - Trinity Wesleyan Church
Part-time

Trinity is located in the suburban city of Byram, Mississippi. Byram is eight miles south of Jackson, the state capitol of Mississippi. Trinity is located one-mile west of Interstate 55 on Siwell Road. Siwell Road is the major thru fare off the exit. Byram is the fastest growing community in Hinds county and the church has excellent visibility that will only increase as the community continues to expand. Byram is nearing the end of a ten-year struggle to be recognized as an incorporated city. Trinity has been the meeting place for the Citizens for Byram Incorporation for most of those ten years. When the incorporation is approved, growth will move at an even faster pace. Many of the big box stores (Wal-Mart, etc.) are waiting to build once that action is completed. Trinity was founded in 1990.

One of the unique things about the church is the strength of their Wednesday evening outreach, Wednesday Night Alive. This program runs from September through May and has an average attendance of about 60. The program is outreach oriented and has Bible study classes for all ages. It has been a major contributor in drawing of new people. The church facilities are first rate and well maintained with a full gymnasium that is used for many activities and a worship center that can comfortably seat 150-175 people.

The church has a good technical support system as well. The church has recently purchased a large commercial lighted sign that was the talk of the town. Trinity is a community-minded church, and besides hosting the CBI, they have also hosted a number of meet the candidate nights where all those who are running for political office are invited to speak. A Christian karate class is offered two nights a week, a girl scout troop meets at the church every two weeks, and the boy scouts use the church for special events.

The church is made up of a diverse group of people. There are several families who have been with the church since its founding and many more have been added along the way. The church is located approximately eight miles from Wesley Biblical Seminary. Wesley Seminary is one of the pre-approved seminaries for pastors in The Wesleyan Church. The seminary has provided a great source for support staff. Presently the church has only one paid staff member (senior pastor).

The church is pursuing a pastoral leader who has a NewStart or ReStart heart and gifting. A person who is outgoing and has a passion for people and reaching out to the lost and hurting. A person who can build a team and has good communication skills. The District Board and local leadership are fully committed that this church is poised to become an anchor church for Mississippi and future church planting efforts across the state.

Please send: Resume with photo of the family and include your references. Take the Church Planters Assessment found on the denominational website. Go under the tab Evangelism and Church Growth http://www.wesleyan.org/ecg/assessing and then forward the results to dan@southcoastal.org. Contact the DS and a PROMO sheet for the church and photos will be provided.

Robson Square Church

Launch Team Opportunities in Vancouver, British Columbia
Full-time, Part-time

Robson Square Church is a new pioneer Wesleyan church in downtown Vancouver. There are no other Wesleyan churches in the province. God has given us a great vision, plan and strategy to reach this very needy area and beyond.

Only one percent of the inner city population attend an evangelical church, and 42 percent of people claim to have no religious affiliation. Approximately 1800 new immigrants are arriving here each month from around the world, so there are endless outreach opportunities. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. We are seeking the Lord for people to relocate here and work with us as part of our launch team.

Whether you are gifted in evangelism, called to preach, are good with media or administration, are a youth or childrens worker, worship leader or neighbourhood group leader, this is a city in which you can really make a difference for the Kingdom and grow in your faith! Our first of three preview services will begin on October 6, and we plan to launch weekly Sunday services on January 12, 2014. This is a missionary endeavour, and we will be glad to assist you in raising support and/or finding employment in the community.

Pastor of Worship Arts (Full-time)

New Hope Wesleyan Church

Pastor of Worship Arts
Full-time

New Hope Church is situated in one of the fastest growing communities in the United States. The community is expected to double in size, at the least, in the next few years and our Church is not far behind. Families from around the world are moving to the region because of the high availability of jobs and opportunities. Our vision is to be a church in multiple locations across North Dakota and Montana to reach the thousands of families moving into the region. This vision will begin this year with the expansion of our worship center, children's ministry space, and student ministry space.

The Pastor of Worship Arts will be responsible for maximizing and developing all of the arts (vocal, instrumental, technical, facility, dance, drama, etc.) in an authentic, highly creative and excellent worship experience. He/she will be responsible for leading the creative team in the weekly planning of Worship celebration as well as seasonal productions. • Go to people with the love of Christ (Lost People found)

Pastor of Worship and Lay Development (Full-time)

The Hartford City Wesleyan Church

Pastor of Worship and Lay Development
Full-time

Located 20 miles southeast of Indiana Wesleyan University, The Hartford City Wesleyan Church is a growing congregation of 250 which has recently transitioned into a newly constructed facility. At this significant juncture, we are searching for a team member whose greatest ministerial passions can be found in music as well as aiding believers with achieving their high potential in Christ.

This position encourages much personal vision and creativity while focusing on three primary areas:

  • Leading an extremely gifted cadre of musicians in ministering through a contemporary style of worship, yet finding beauty and richness in the musical heritage of days past.
  • Overseeing an extensive volunteer base and creating for the congregation valuable new opportunities to serve (such will involve encouragement, management and discipleship).

In addition to already being ordained or along in the process, you are a talented musician possessing a good reputation and solid track record. In our worship of God, we help the lost become found by introducing them to Jesus and provide all followers with ongoing discipleship for continued spiritual growth.

If the mission of Hartford City Wesleyan Church corresponds with your own, if you are serious about making a Good News impact and desire to serve in a small town "outpost" where volunteerism is healthy, motivation runs high, and the sense of belonging is strong.
