Wesleyan church planting leaders gather at Exponential

by Wesleyan Information Network | May. 1, 2012

Over 40 Wesleyan leaders from nine districts recently joined over 3,000 other church planting leaders at the Exponential Conference in Orlando, FL, April 23-26. Described as “the largest gathering of church planting leaders on the planet,” the Conference brought leaders together around the theme, “Sifted,” looking at the inner life and character of church planters.

Over 150 workshops and numerous opportunities to network made Exponential a key event for missional leaders. Wesleyans came together twice during the event to strengthen relationships, share learning and strategically pray and plan.

Dr. Tim Roehl, director of church renewal and multiplication for The Wesleyan Church said, “Exponential is an invigorating, inspiring, and informative time for missional leaders, especially those who want to start missional initiative and church plants.”

Roehl noted, “Five years ago, eight Wesleyans attended. This year, leaders from nine districts of The Wesleyan Church were at Exponential. It was a great encouragement to share stories of risk taking faith for the sake of reaching people for Christ, pray for each other and cast vision for how God is leading us to multiply more disciples, leaders, ministries and churches.”
