E-zine contest winners announced

by Kerry Kind | Sep. 24, 2012

We have concluded the contest to give a new name to the E-zine, and Pastor Jeremy Geerdes (pictured) of Debra Heights Wesleyan Church in Des Moines, Iowa, submitted the winning idea: WesLife. He will receive $100. He and the four runners-up will all receive complimentary copies of The Story of The Wesleyan Church by Black/Drury. The runners-up with their suggestions (in no particular order) are: Dan Bellinger (“Wesleyan E-mail Connection”); Roy DeVries (“Weslemail”); Ray Trevino (“The Wesleyan Headlines”); and Chris Sumpter (“Wesleyan Wire”).

Over 100 contest entries were received, and we are grateful to each person who entered. The next time this publication arrives in your inbox on October 8, look for the name, WesLife. This will help identify this newsletter, WesleyanLife magazine, and Wesleyan Life Online as members of the same family. It also foreshadows a freshly redesigned Wesleyan Life magazine starting with the Fall 2012 issue, available free of charge through your local Wesleyan church or online before the middle of October.
