Houghton College will open two new locations in Niagara County for their Adult Education Program in 2013. The first location to open will be in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and classes will begin on January 16, 2013. The second location will be in Lockport, N.Y., and classes will begin in the summer of 2013.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to offer classes in Niagara County,” said Katie Buvoltz, associate dean for the Houghton College Adult Education Program. “These new locations will provide great facilities and a convenient location for Niagara County, Southern Ontario, and Northern Erie County students.”
The Niagara Falls facilities will offer a classroom-style corporate meeting room, high-speed Internet, and audiovisual technologies. The Lockport facility offers a traditional meeting room housed on a 25-acre beautifully groomed historical campus.
Houghton College’s Adult Education Program is designed to enable adults 23 years of age and older to complete their bachelor’s degree. The program offers students the ability to take just one class, one night a week. Participants graduate from the program in about 17 months.
Established in 1991, the Houghton College Adult Education Program has expanded to include five locations throughout western New York. Most recently, the West Seneca campus celebrated its 20th anniversary and grand opening celebration at its new location at on Transit Road.
