2010 Strategic Church Plant Grant
General Information:
"Strategic Church Plant Grants" are denominational investments through the General Department of Evangelism and Church Growth for qualified, district-approved church plants or daughter church projects.
There are four primary sources of funds for these grants:
- The annual North American Missions Offering that Wesleyan churches promote during the Easter season.
- Annual earnings from the Wesleyan Investment Foundation’s Church Planting Endowment Fund.
- Earnings from the E&CG Church Planting Endowment Fund.
- Designated gifts received by the General Department of E&CG to promote church planting.
There are grant funds available up to $6700.00 per church plant based on fund availability. The disbursement of the funds will be contingent on completion of key milestone events following the criteria listed below. Each milestone grant has a separate application. SELDOM will a grant be given in a one time payment. The funds will be sent to the district office of the approved plant.
GRANTS:
ASSESSMENT GRANT - $1500.00
- DBA and/or E&CG BOARD APPROVAL
- A “GREEN LIGHT” FROM AN APPROVED PLANTER ASSESSMENT PROCESS
- COMPLETION AND SUBMISSION OF THE 2010 CHURCH PLANT GRANT FORM ALONG WITH THE ASSESSMENT REPORT
TRAINING GRANT - $1000.00
- COMPLETION OF A QUALIFIED CHURCH PLANTER TRAINING PROCESS
- The recommended training is New Church University, Dynamic Church Plants International, Nitrogen, or Individual Missional Action Plan (iMAP).
- GRANT APPLICATION MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ACTION PLAN.
COACHING GRANT -$1000.00 - 1200.00
- CONTRACTED WITH A CERTIFIED COACH FOR A MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR OF COACHING
- CONTRACTING WITH A COACH FROM THE WESLEYAN COACH NETWORK RECEIVES MORE GRANT DOLLARS
