Kingswood University focuses on holiness

Kingswood University began its second semester with a focus on holy living as Dr. Steve DeNeff, spoke for Holiness Advancement Week, January 24-26. In his messages, Dr. DeNeff, senior pastor of College Wesleyan Church in Marion, Indiana, challenged staff and students to have a vision of a holy God and to go to the Cross, giving Christ everything. Through a backdrop of the wedding ceremony, he illustrated how much believers are loved by God as His bride. He also encouraged all to have integrity and balance in ministry.
“When we see a vision of God from the top,” said DeNeff, “it changes the way we approach God. Our lives will move in the direction of the God we worship.”
In reflecting on the holiness of God, second-year student Judy Greene said, “Only a holy and loving God could bring me from where I was to where I am now. He is a God who strengthens, heals, and restores. I am in awe that such a holy God could love me the way that He does.”
Dr. DeNeff is the author of several books including SoulShift, a book that the entire campus is studying in weekly discipleship groups. Along with speaking in chapel, he spoke in classes and to campus leadership groups. Dr. DeNeff, along with Dr. Kenneth Gavel, also gave students a deeper understanding of the doctrine of holiness during a question/answer session held in Wesley Hall.
