During the 27th General Assembly of the Church of the Nazarene in Orlando Fla., Stan Toler, author and senior pastor of Oklahoma City Trinity Church of the Nazarene, accepted the nomination as the 39th General Superintendent of the Church of the Nazarene.

The election process started early this week with the nominations and acceptances of David W. Graves, Eugenio Duarte (Dwart), and John C. Bowling on Tuesday, June 30, 2009. However, after further meditation upon the nomination, Bowling decided to rescind his election to the Board of General Superintendents on Thursday, July 2, 2009. This is the second time Bowling has decided to decline the nomination; his first declination came in 2005.

Announced in January, the Wesleyan Publishing House launched a new WPH Partner + Plus In-church Book Display Program.

By signing up, churches will receive a Wesleyan Publishing House book display (pictured above) and minimum of 24 WPH books (three copies of each WPH title from the Recommended List). Then, for each cycle (three per year) churches will receive two copies of each new WPH release that will ship the last month of the cycle, typically February, July and November.
