Abolish Human Trafficking
Human trafficking is the modern-day form of slavery. Victims of trafficking are subjected to force, fraud, or coercion, for the purpose of sexual exploitation or forced labor. There are currently over 27 million slaves worldwide, of which over 50% are children. It is estimated that this 32 billion-dollar industry will soon surpass the use of drugs and alcohol.
Young children, teenagers, men, and women are all victims. Approximately 600,000 to 800,000 people annually are trafficked across international borders, and thousands are trafficked into the U.S. It is sickening to realize this industry employs people full-time to look for vulnerable victims in North America.

Adelphe
Wesleyan Women is teaming with the World Hope program, ADELPHE, www.worldhope.org/adelphe. For $32 a month you can provide a woman with the resources she needs to provide for her amily and learn about the dangers of human trafficking. When you become a sister, you will:
- Enchange letters, photos, and prayers;
- Empower your sister through agriculture programs and livelihood training so that she can provide adequate food for her family, afford to send her children to school and pay for health care; and,
- Introduce your sister to the love of Jesus Christ!
For each Wesleyan Women sponsorship, World Hope will send the Wesleyan Women general office $30. Please be sure to mention that you are a Wesleyan Women group when you sign up.
