  • Can we still go to Cuba? Yes, Cruise lines are able to continue their Cuba itineraries
  • What ship are we on? The Norwegian Sky (NCL)
  • What port do we sail from? Miami, Florida
  • Do we have the whole ship? No, we have designated private venue locations for our meetings on board, but there will be other passengers sailing
  • Who can come? Open to all
  • What type of cruise? Freestyle (casual dress, dine when you want with whom you want)
  • Can I invite a non-Wesleyan friend? Yes
  • Will child care be available? Through the ship, but no specific programming from us
  • Will there be time to sight see? Absolutely! Our meetings will mostly occur while we are at sea
  • Are we approved to travel to Cuba? Yes, this is an OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) approved cruise
  • How will I recognize the Wesleyans on board? Wristband
  • What’s included with my payment? Cruise (which includes your on board food), taxes, pre-paid gratuities, and Cuba visa
  • What costs extra? Should you desire internet service, pictures from ship photographers, eating in specialty restaurants, ship excursions put on by Norwegian, spa treatments, specialty drinks…
  • Will I get sea sick? Probably not, but you can wear a band or take an over the counter medication such as Dramamine
  • How do I get my visa? It’s included in your cruise payment and available through the cruise line
  • Any additional amenities? Each cabin has a $75 room credit to be used as you desire. Can be used to pay for a shore excursion, spa treatment, internet service, photography, specialty restaurant, etc.
  • Where are the speakers from? Church Multiplication & Discipleship and The Wesleyan Church
  • What will my cabin be like? A range of options depending on if you want an inside, ocean view or balcony cabin and how many people will be in your cabin
  • What if I want a cabin room to myself? You will have to pay for the entire cabin (double per person price). You won’t have to pay additional taxes or gratuities beyond those for one traveler
  • What if I want a higher category of cabin not listed? Suites and Haven level rooms can be negotiated, but the cost will be significantly higher
  • How do I dress? Casual during the day, smart casual at night
  • What will the temperature be like? Hot on the islands, but air conditioned on the ship
  • How will we get to the worship service in Cuba? You will have the option of meeting us at the church or boarding transportation from the ship
  • Can I still go on shore excursions offered by the cruise line? Yes. Three months before we sail you will be able to book any ship related excursions and specialty dining requests
  • What is the difference between specialty dining and regular dining? The ship offers dining room and buffet venues at no extra charge. There are also three specialty cuisine dining room options available for a small surcharge. The specialty restaurants include a Steakhouse, Italian Restaurant and French Restaurant
  • What if I have a medical emergency? The ship has a medical ward
  • Do I need travel insurance? Optional
  • Do you match people up with roommates? No, but check with others in your district who may want to attend
  • What will be available on the ship? All of the regular cruise amenities
  • Set meal times? This is free style cruising. You decide when you would like your meal time to be
  • What if I don’t speak Spanish? You will most likely be on English speaking tours, and since we are in the major city of Havana, there will be someone around who can help with language
  • Do I need a passport? Yes. Make sure your passport is valid for six months beyond our travel dates. (Please notify us if you were born in Cuba)
  • Do I need a visa? Yes, and its available through the cruise line and included in your fare
  • Will I have access to ship’s programming outside of our Wesleyan itinerary? Yes, the ship will have a daily itinerary of activity options aboard ship that typically may include things like fitness classes, entertainment shows, trivia contests, etc.
  • Can someone who is not in relationship to Christ come? Absolutely!
