3. Wesleyan pastors can use the national rental car corporate code

Enter in the corporate code, XZ08874, under “Account Number” on the initial screen on nationalcar.com (when you are putting in your location, dates, and times). It should then show you rates for The Wesleyan Church group. This can be used for Enterprise as well (however there tend to be more perks with National).

Education and Clergy Development (EDC) (thanks to Gary Carr and Russ Gunsalus) alongside the General Treasurer’s Office (Thanks to Kevin Batman) negotiated this contract for HQ and Wesleyan Pastors, Districts, and Wesleyan Churches. It has provided some nice perks for a few years but wasn’t always competitive for pricing. However, since the skyrocketing of rental car prices due to Covid, it is often the best price for a rental car in many areas. One feature of the contract is the avoidance of price-gouging due to high demand.

4. What options are there for meals?

The Caribe Royale has a coffee shop, 2 restaurants, an outdoor grill by the pool, and the Cafe 24 where a variety of items can be purchased. Each room is a suite with a microwave, small refrigerator, and coffee maker should you prefer to bring your own grocery items for meals. Area restaurants are also available and located 1-2 miles from the Caribe.

5. Are kids welcome at the Gathering?

GREAT NEWS! For all you parents who shared with us how valuable it would be to have your whole family at the Gathering, our great programming team is going to make that possible for 2023! Children’s programming will be provided for kids potty-trained through grade 3.  All children will need to be registered individually, at $25/child. Those registered for children’s programming will have an additional fee of $25 to help with programming costs.

6. What if I am interested in having an exhibit at this event?

Email gathering@wesleyan.org with questions on exhibits or sponsorships.

7. Will translation be available?

Main sessions will be translated in Spanish. Selected workshops will be taught in Spanish with English translation. PLEASE INDICATE if you will need translation upon registering.

8. How can I get from the airport to the Caribe?

While the Caribe does not offer any shuttle service from/to the airport, we’ve compiled a list of options that will hopefully help:

  1. The cost of Uber from airport to hotel is an average of $13-18.  www.uber.com
  2. Lyft is an average cost of $30-35 for 4 riders and can be accessed here: https://ride.lyft.com/ridetype?entrypoint=lyftcom&referrer=singular_click_id%3D2edf2dfd-9860-4a4e-839b-83edde27f700&origin=28.432216%2C-81.307799&destination=28.357916%2C-81.49296&offerProductId=standard
  3. www.jayride.com is a shuttle service in the Orlando area.  Avg. cost $45-70.
