Reclaim Sabbath

Stop. Rest. Pray. Play.

In 2018, Wesleyan clergy will encourage each other to reclaim Sabbath living, a foundational gift from God for our wellbeing and a key aspect of discipleship. In a world of accelerating pace, rising anxiety and diminishing satisfaction, God has given us a prescription in the fourth commandment for a life of patience, peace and joy. Jesus said, “The Sabbath was made to serve us; we weren’t made to serve the Sabbath.” (Mark 2:27, MSG)

Each month we will emphasize one Sabbath theme that will provide at least one resource. We will also be hearing testimonies from each other as we learn to practice Sabbath together. So, this year let’s together #ReclaimSabbath, God’s beautiful gift to us all.
