Whoever does these things will never be shaken. (Ps. 15:5)

When we are born again, we are changed. When we decide to follow Jesus, we are changed. We cannot keep living the way we used to live, in the ways of sin and the world.

When our beliefs change, our behavior should follow suit. Just because we are saved from sin does not mean we can continue to sin. Rather, our faith inspires new action. The works of a Christian walk are a direct consequence of our faith in Jesus. People should know we follow Jesus through our behavior, through our love. They should see a difference in us and begin to wonder what it is they are missing. But, the action of faith is not easy, because it is much easier to live a life of sin. God will help us through. He will give us strength, but we need to be proactive in doing the work of faith and life. Do not be content with just sitting idly.

We don’t just do these things because we’re supposed to, but for the benefits they bring to us and the world. Doing the work of faith makes our faith stronger, so we will not be shaken. And walking a Christian walk will make the world a better place. Because the world could always use a bit more love.

Go and do the work of faith, in love.
