Kory Pence serves as the executive director of Communications of The Wesleyan Church, bringing his deep Wesleyan roots and lifelong desire to help the church communicate with authenticity and purpose to his role.

He previously served at The Wesleyan Church Headquarters for more than 16 years in communication and design leadership roles.

Upon his election at the 15th General Conference, Kory concluded seven years of service as vice president for Creative Impact at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Bartlesville, Oklahoma. There he led university marketing, creative direction and communications during a season of growth and renewed identity.

A collaborative leader, Kory values building trust and strengthening community around a shared purpose. Throughout his career, he has helped nonprofits, universities and mission-driven organizations clarify their message and inspire meaningful engagement.

Kory holds degrees from Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, Indiana, and Marywood University, Dunmore, Pennsylvania. He is known for building trust, leading collaboratively and connecting vision to execution in ways that produce measurable impact.

He and his wife, Kristen, have two young daughters. Kristen serves as a worship leader and teacher, and together they are grateful to serve the church.
