12Stone® Church is partnering with Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University to offer a 12Stone Master of Arts in Ministry degree beginning in June 2013.
The two-year, fully accredited, degree program is provided by the John C. Maxwell Leadership Center, a state of the art leadership center and church campus founded by 12Stone® Church.
The custom Master of Arts degree offers 36 hours of core and ministry leadership courses led by seminary professors and 12Stone campus pastors. Courses are utilized for adults seeking growth in personal or ministry leadership skills.
“We are fired-up about this partnership between Wesley Seminary and 12Stone Church,” said 12Stone Senior Pastor Kevin Myers. “This is a practical, innovative, and flexible program that promotes a theologically sound approach to leadership development and achieving the Master of Arts in Ministry degree.”
The program provides applicants who have earned a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university with the opportunity to work closely with a group of fellow ministry leaders and mentors on actual church projects.
“Our desire is to present a relevant model that gives adults options in their educational preparation for local church ministry,” said Myers.
The Master of Arts degree is completed almost entirely online, with a one-week summer elective of personal and spiritual development to be held at 12Stone® Church.
Applications are currently accepted through April 15th. The first summer session begins June 5-10 at the John C. Maxwell Leadership Center.
