Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb? (Mark 16:3)
Very soon after I began high school, my family moved a thousand miles away from our home to be lay ministers in a church plant. Logically, the situation did not make much sense. But spiritually, we knew it was God’s plan, so we acted in faith. Even through hardships, God continually proved His faithfulness to my family, and brought us to an even greater place.
The women on the way to Jesus’ tomb did not know how they would roll the heavy stone away, but they acted in faith anyway, waking early in the morning. They knew what they needed to do, even if they didn’t know every step of the plan. But God showed his faithfulness. He rolled the stone away and revealed an even greater plan.
We follow a God who is faithful. When we, as Christians, as the church, step out in faith, we can be sure God will be faithful. If we are looking for revival in our homes and churches, maybe God is asking us to step out in faith, into the unknown. Maybe God is asking us to start something without knowing every detail; maybe God wants to change the way we do some things. But, when we are in this unknown, we rely on God for power and guidance, and trust his plan is greater than any plan we could ever conceive.
Step out in faith and trust God will reveal his greater plan.
