Listen to today’s devo!

He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection. (1 Peter 1:3)

A young man came to my office and handed me an envelope. “When you have time, please read what I have written; you will find it to be very encouraging. It tells you that I have discovered that there is hope in Christ!” Then he quickly left.

As I read the words he had penned, my heart welled up with deep thanksgiving to God. “For years I have struggled with pornography. Then a moment changed my life. On January 10, I walked into the auditorium for ‘another’ chapel service. This chapel really wasn’t any different than the others I had been to. However, this time when Dr. Lo finished his message, he gave an altar call. At 11:46 a.m. I stood, and I stood strong. When I sat down, I was no longer an addict. There is no other way to describe it other than complete transformation. By an act of hopeful faith, I was set free from an addiction of over nine years.

“I write this today after being clean for a year and 147 days. I cannot explain the growth that I have experienced in all areas of my life, which were being held back by my addiction. My future marriage has been saved by a faithful Chinese pastor who prayed that the God of hope would show up powerfully.”

Let enslaved people around you know that Jesus can set them free.
