With more than three hundred church planters, pastors, and leaders attending Exponential 2014, the movement of multiplication is definitely on the rise across The Wesleyan Church.

Exponential is the largest church planting and multiplication conference in North America and is an amazing experience for catching the vision, being equipped, and networking with others to help fuel the movement of church planting and multiplication. Church planters, pastors, and leaders from 24 of the 32 districts of The Wesleyan Church attended this year’s conference in Orlando, Fla. Two teams of students from Kingswood University and Indiana Wesleyan University also attended, after having won a campus-wide competition for developing the best church planting proposals for a new church plant anywhere in North America.

The Church Multiplication and Discipleship Division, Wesleyan Investment Foundation (WIF), Wesley Seminary, and Oklahoma Wesleyan University worked together to sponsor a “Tsunami Celebration” on Tuesday evening of the conference. WIF CEO Craig Dunn received the first Church Planting and Multiplication Hero Award for his lifelong support and incredible resourcing of the movement of multiplication. In addition to the award, vision was given for the continued development of a regional strategy, and $65,000 worth of grants for church planting and multiplication assessing, coaching, and training were announced. These will be given out over the coming ministry year.

Exponential is a strategic part of Nitrogen, the church health, fitness, and multiplication network of The Wesleyan Church. Exponential is an incredible event for recruiting others to the vision of church planting and multiplication, while providing a powerful networking opportunity with the best thinkers, practitioners, and leading experts from across The Wesleyan Church in North America.

Plans are already underway to see 500 attend next year’s Exponential, April 27-30, 2015, in Tampa, Fla., where the “tsunami” will continue to build. Click here for more information on Exponential 2015 and the developing church planting and multiplication network.
