Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” (Luke 18:27)
Whether we like it or not, change is a part of life. Some of us resist change and want to cling to our traditions and routines, while others of us love change. I think what we can all agree on, though, is that not all change is good nor bad. What happens sometimes is that we get so set in our routines that we fail to see that we have lost focus in our lives.
For myself, there have been times in my life when I’m just going about my business and fail to see that somehow, I’ve gotten off the path where God was at the center of my life. I was still following the “rules” and I didn’t stop loving God; I just stopped paying attention to God’s direction on the path.
Have you ever gotten off course and didn’t even realize it had happened? What if we missed a spot in our lives where God was calling us to change?
Sometimes change feels impossible. We’ve all had something in our lives that felt like it was impossible to change. Satan wants us to believe that we can’t change whatever stronghold is keeping us from God, but that idea is a lie. What is impossible for us, God is more than able to do. Change is God’s specialty.
Let God do the impossible and make change possible.
