As a resource to all Wesleyan churches in North America, the office of Communication and Administration is providing a set of guidelines to help local churches establish their own Child Protection Policy. The General Board in its November 2013 meeting recommended that each local church establish and implement a Child Protection Policy.

To help implement this recommendation the Communication and Administration office is not only providing a set of guidelines and forms that can be customized to work in the state where a church is located, but also has completed an agreement with an organization called Protect My Ministry (PMM). PMM will provide services to conduct background checks for church volunteers and training materials for Child Safety Training. A specific registration site for Wesleyan churches, along with instructions and the recommended guidelines can be found here.
