More than 5,000 teenagers and sponsors from across The Wesleyan Church in North American are in Indianapolis, Ind., attending FOLLOW 2015, the International Wesleyan Youth Conference. The event kicked off December 28, and this year the denomination celebrates 50 years of Wesleyan Youth Conferences. At the opening rally Monday evening, former general youth directors were honored for their role in helping lead the Wesleyan Youth Movement in its 50-year history.

Speakers include Robert Madu, Brent Crowe, Brent Ingersoll, Nicole Reyes, and Darren Whitehead. Artists include Brandon Grissom, Elevation Worship, and Rend Collective. For more information on the event schedule, visit the FOLLOW 2015 website.

Wesleyans are asked to pray for the event and that Jesus changes lives as a result of attending.

“Pray for the Holy Spirit to continue to transform students, leaders, and churches through FOLLOW 2015,” said Dr. Jim Dunn, executive director of Church Multiplication and Discipleship for The Wesleyan Church. “Also pray for the 300+ who gave their lives to follow Jesus for the first time during the opening rally Monday night. We praise the Lord for this!”

Rev. Brent Ingersoll, senior pastor of Kings Valley Quispamsis Wesleyan Church in Quispamsis, New Brunswick, Canada, will preach about the call to ministry, as well as the topic of serving Jesus for a lifetime, Wednesday.

The event will conclude the morning of December 31.
