The Spirit of Jesus visited the Follow Tour stop on the campus of Oklahoma Wesleyan University recently. Hundreds of youth as well as OKWU students, youth workers, faculty, administrators, and staff experienced several supernatural moments. The collective focus zeroed in on the lifestyle of Matthew 16:24, “Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If anyone would come after me, He must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.’”

“Students and adult leaders made deep, life-changing commitments to Jesus during the OKWU Follow event,” said Dr. Jim Dunn, General Director of Spiritual Formation for The Wesleyan Church. He went on to say, “Even an adult youth leader renewed his commitment to make his life count more for Jesus in his community as an influential businessman.”

Some God-outcomes for the weekend included 27 accepting Jesus as their personal Savior; 30 called into full-time vocational ministry; and 82 called to serve the Lord in whatever career God leads them.

Prior to the Follow 2011 event at OKWU, the Orange Movement invited attendees to arrive early and participate in an Orange Movement Bootcamp. Students were introduced to the issue of human trafficking, reasons why we as a Church should care and what we can do. The Orange Movement seeks to bring awareness to the issue of human trafficking, to be the feet of Christ in supporting the rescue of those held in slavery, and to rally the voice of “the church” to be the light for both the victims and the perpetrators of human trafficking to find the one True way to freedom.
