He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy. (Ps. 105:43)
Behind the many miracles, over the majesty of the mountains, across the barrenness of the desert, and beneath the depth of the sea, God is there. Jehovah Creator. Jehovah Provider. He is both present and active, bringing order out of your chaos, peace out of your turmoil, and healing out of your pain. Evidence of his nearness and goodness is all around us.
The biblical story of Israel is a Spirit-anointed account of God’s faithfulness. Throughout Scripture, his character is revealed in the justice of his dealings with Israel’s enemies. We can see how far God goes to show his love in how he guided his people in a cloud by day and fire by night and in his daily provisions during Israel’s travels. Every time there was a need, he supplied. Every time there was a threat, he defended. Every time there was a promise, he fulfilled it. God never abandoned them.
Similarly, you can expect an extraordinary God to meet your ordinary needs, in extraordinary ways. Seeing his faithfulness in your life gives you shouts of joy in adversity, bounty and blessing in enemy territory, and unearned favor in unexpected times. Because his character is proven, you can take great comfort in knowing that God is your never-leaving, never-forsaking, and always-loving heavenly Father.
Invite others into the kingdom by sharing the Lord’s faithfulness.
