Indiana Wesleyan University mourns the loss of junior Christian ministries student, Dallas Davis, and plans to hold a memorial service in his honor on Monday, Feb. 9 at 7:00 p.m. The service will be held in Room 135 of the Noggle Christian Ministries Center on IWU’s residential campus at 4201 S. Washington Street in Marion, Ind.

Since Dallas was a passionate and skilled musician, the service will be preceded by a series of songs that he wrote and recorded himself. This will be followed by opening remarks by Dr. Jim Lo, dean of the Chapel.

The rest of the service will include worship, as well as short tributes made by many of Dallas’ friends and professors. Dallas’ pastor and ministry mentor, Pastor Heath Jones, will give the homily.

“This is part of the healing process for our community,” Lo said, “To remember one who was part of our family, to pay tribute to a brother in the Lord and to show Dallas’ family our love for them.”

Davis passed away Sunday, February 1, in a single-vehicle accident on his way to church.

The memorial service will be open to the public.
