A memorial service for career missionary Nancy Rae (Smeby) Hubbard has been set for 5:00 p.m., June 23, 2018, at Waite Park Wesleyan Church in Minneapolis, Minn.

Nancy passed away on April 11, 2018, in Panama, following an extended battle with cancer. She was 60 years old. A native of Minnesota, she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in international leadership from Crown College. She was married to Dr. Perry Hubbard for 38 years. Together they served as Global Partners missionaries for 31 years in Sierra Leone, Papua New Guinea, Guyana and Panama.

She was involved in various areas of ministry, especially serving children in need. She was largely responsible for founding the Ruimveldt Children’s Home and Care Center, a non-profit organization in Georgetown, Guyana, for children infected/affected by HIV/AIDS in 2006. She was a key instructor and developer of the cross-cultural training program for the JIBACAM missions board of The Wesleyan Church of Latin America.

Nancy is survived by her husband, two sons, one daughter, two grandchildren, her mother, three brothers and two sisters.
