Rev. William Edgar “Bill” Morgan, a Wesleyan pastor and missionary, passed away December 5 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. He was 91.

He served as an ordained pastor for 65 years with The Wesleyan Church. He spent thirty-three years of ministry in South Africa as a missionary with Wesleyan World Missions (now Global Partners), including serving as mission director for the field. Upon his return to New Brunswick following a full career as missionary to Africa, he served more years there in the pastorate.

Rev. Morgan was preceded in death by his wife Elsie (Shaw) Morgan. Survivors include two children, Suzanna Ferreira and Murray Morgan; brother, Glen (Bertha) Morgan; sister, Ruth Elkins, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held at The Journey Wesleyan Church in Fredericton, New Brunswick, on Friday, December 9, 2016, from 12:00 p.m – 2:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow. Rev. Matthew Maxwell will officiate. Interment will take place in the spring.
