Houghton College is pleased to announce that Vincent Morris has assumed the role of vice president for finance, beginning on September 26, 2016.

Mr. Morris joins the Houghton community from the Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc., where he has served as executive director of the Higher Education Practice since 2012. In that role, he advised over 600 institutions of higher learning regarding issues of finance, strategic planning, risk management, and problem solving.

Prior to his time in the Higher Education Practice, he served as Wheaton College’s director of risk management from 1998-2012, where he gained extensive experience in navigating the complex relationship between finance and higher education, with a deep understanding of its role in Christian higher learning.

“We are delighted to welcome Vince Morris to Houghton’s leadership team,” said Houghton President Shirley Mullen. “His wide-ranging experience in the national conversation on the economics of higher education will be a valuable asset to Houghton College in the days ahead.”

Mr. Morris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gordon College, a Bachelor of Science from Wheaton College, a Master of Arts from Wheaton College Graduate School, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
