The king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the rings of the nobles so that Daniel’s situation might not be changed. (Dan. 6:17)

HOW ARE WE TO FACE IMPOSSIBLE SITUATIONS: Ignore them and hope they go away or face them with an overcoming faith in God? No one on earth could change Daniel’s situation. The door was locked, the lions were loose, and Daniel was on the menu. People thought they understood the situation. Daniel had broken the law and was thrown into the lions’ den to die. The door was sealed shut so no one could intervene. From the earthly perspective, that was true.

During times of conflict, you may feel that there is no way for a situation to change. The pain won’t go away, the relationship won’t be repaired, the future is sealed. But God has a different perspective and plan! We need to keep our eyes on God. We may not understand what He is doing, but we can try to have His perspective. We need our faith the most when life is the hardest.

When you are in the middle of conflict, be faithful to God, spend time with Him, read the Bible, and pray. Through your faithfulness, you will find your faith increase. Only faith has the power to move seemingly impossible mountains. Only faith enables you to look directly at an impossible situation and know that it will change.

Trust God to change an impossible situation you face.
