Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to their tent. (Ex. 33:10)

Lovers of Krispy Kreme doughnuts know the secret of the light—if it’s on, free, warm doughnuts are available. All that sugary sweetness encasing warm dough brings people together as they echo a satisfied sigh of delight over each bite.

God, too, brought his children together over a common bond—his presence. Moses prayed in the Tent of Meeting. God’s presence, in the form of a cloud, hovered over the tent. The Israelites would stand at the entrance of their tents and worship God. They worshiped—bound together by a praiseworthy God.

Today, we can have God’s presence hovering over our hearts. His Holy Spirit lives in us, freeing us to worship anytime and anywhere. In the middle of our daily activities, worship is only a breath away. We may not see a cloud, but we feel the warmth of his presence.

If the light of your heart is on, worship God. Thank him for the torn temple curtain that enables you to take your praise straight to his heart. Thank him for his omnipresence that allows you to feel his presence continually. Look around and find someone with whom to share his presence. It may be a little one at home, a coworker, a cashier at the bank, or a fellow shopper. Shine forth God’s presence and worship together.

Stand at the entrance of your heart and worship God.
