Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. (Isa. 55:13)
The Bible says in Luke 15:7, “I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” On August 7, 1982, God and the angels were rejoicing. Two sinners repented and came to know Jesus.
But, Jesus didn’t leave me there. Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Over the years, he has changed anger to love, unforgiveness to forgiveness, unbelief to belief, and fears to trust. In transforming my perspective to line up with his, he has changed my attitude toward my home, husband, kids, finances, jobs, friends, enemies, and my service in and out of the church to bring him glory. It has not been a one-day process, but a journey that will continue until I die or Jesus returns.
The trials are going to come. Relationships are going to be tested. Sin and sickness and the enemy are going to fight for my mind and life. But God! He is faithful and true. He will provide joy, strength, wisdom, and peace as I face each troubling situation.
What kind of situation are you facing today? God will use it to transform your mind in ways you can’t imagine.
Look for ways God is using trials in your transformation.
