Rev. Don Fisher was a lifelong minister of The Wesleyan Church. He died Sunday, October 27, at age 96. He pastored three Wesleyan churches in Ohio and was district superintendent in Ohio from 1953-1963, then chose to go back into local church ministry. He had two long-term Wesleyan pastorates in Marion, Ind., and was also a chaplain to nursing homes for fifteen years in Marion. He served on the General Board of the denomination for twenty years and was a trustee or trustee emeritus of Indiana Wesleyan University for 59 years, the longest-serving trustee in the university’s history. His wife, Mildred, sons Duane, Robert, and Carlton, daughters Roberta Zent and Kathy Ott, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and a sister, Ruthan Burchel, survive him.

Funeral services at Nelson Street Wesleyan Church in Marion, Ind., were presided over by former General Superintendent Dr. Robert W. McIntyre, Rev. Donald A. Glenn, and Rev. Steve Fletcher.
