Dakota Jacks, a student from Pickens, S.C., high school and from Pickens View Wesleyan Church, was riding in a small plane from Southern California to South Carolina. The plane was piloted by a family friend who also died when the plane went down in rugged terrain near Page, Arizona.

Dakota was scheduled to go on a missions trips to South Dakota with the youth from Pickens View Wesleyan Church in July. He had a quiet nature but was a hard worker, smart in his studies, an accomplished blue grass musician, loved hunting, and was a member of the ROTC. He will be missed in the youth group and church. Pray for both families and the students as they grieve but also pray that God will use Dakota even in death.
