God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. (Heb. 2:4)
Take a second to remember the best present you have ever received. Remember the anticipation of unwrapping, the joy of receiving, and the gratitude to the giver. Receiving earthly gifts is a nice thing, but now think of how much greater the gifts of God are. There really is no comparison.
God has given each of us spiritual gifts. Some of these gifts act in practical ways, some in powerful ways, and some in positional ways. The fact is there are many spiritual gifts, and we have not all received the same ones. Everyone is different—where one may be weak, another is strong. We all have various tasks, callings, and skills because God has given us different spiritual gifts. When we do the work of ministry in line with our spiritual gifts, we will be stronger. Spiritual gifts are not for personal gain; they should enable effective ministry and advance the kingdom of God, for God’s glory.
To begin to discover your spiritual gifts, start with a spiritual gifts test. And then examine the results, to see whether they truly line up with your personality and skills. And once you have begun to discover what they are, live by them and through them. Work by the power of the Holy Spirit with the gifts he has freely given to you.
Discover your spiritual gifts and begin living in tune with them.
