He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Mic. 6:8)

THOUGH GPS IS USED A GREAT DEAL today to help us find our way, we still rely on signs along the road to guide us, especially in remote locations. Roadside confirmation, an additional piece of evidence that we are nearing our destination, is comforting.

God made sure to post three big signs for the purpose of directing us on our heavenly journey. The first one tells us to do what is morally right, particularly in our treatment of others. The second one implores us to embrace forgiveness, especially if we ever hope to be forgiven. The third one beseeches us to walk humbly with God, wholeheartedly surrendering our will to Him. These are God’s requirements of us, not His suggestions.

We often don’t arrive at the place we can experience the blessings of the Lord because we ignore His signs along the way. If we don’t follow His directions, we won’t reach our destination. If we have our blinders on, we miss the blessing of helping others on this journey.

Heed God’s road signs, do what He requires, and be blessed.
