If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. (James 5:15)

I TEACH A CLASS to university students titled “Evangelism and Discipleship.” As one of the requirements of this course, students must learn a plan of salvation, which they then have to come and share with me. This is their midterm exam.

At first Cassie did not want to learn a “plan.” She came to me to complain about this requirement. “Learning a plan is too stifling for me! It’s too restrictive! It’s not my style!”

I firmly replied, “For this class, it is one of the requirements. What you do with it after the class is over is up to you.” I could tell she was upset with me as she walked out of my office.

Two weeks later she again came to my office, but her attitude was totally different than it was on her previous visit. “Umf, I want you to know that I did learn a plan and God has given me opportunities to share it. Since we last talked, two individuals have prayed with me to become a Christian; and each of them shared how wonderful it was to know that their sins have been forgiven. One got really excited after we prayed together for her to receive Christ as her Savior. After saying the ‘amen’ she began saying over and over, ‘I feel so free at last! I feel so free at last!’”

Learn an evangelism plan and be ready to share it with others.
