He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. (Ps. 103:10)

“HOW CAN I GIVE up this baby? I love him so much,” Ruth cried softly to herself. But it seemed there was no other choice. She was single and didn’t have a job or a place to live.

Ruth had given birth to Mark a few days earlier. The doctor, aware of her situation, told Ruth he had friends who would like to adopt her baby. At first, Ruth resisted the idea but eventually came to realize she couldn’t offer Mark the life he deserved.

Many years had passed when her baby’s adopted mother contacted Ruth, saying that Mark wanted to meet her. Ruth rejoiced and praised God for this unexpected blessing. Then, she started worrying. What if Mark didn’t like her after they met?

For a while she fretted about the upcoming meeting, but then she accepted the peace God offered. The hours sped by as Ruth and her son became acquainted and promised to meet again.

When Ruth surrendered Mark, she may have thought she would never see him again, but God had a plan for the future of both mother and son.

God has a plan for each of our lives. When we surrender to His will, God will work within us in ways we cannot imagine.

Release the control of your life so God can work His plan.
