Your Father knows what you need before you ask him. (Matt. 6:8)

I recently received a phone call from a close friend. He and his wife were moving, and he was aggressively trying to wrap up the last-minute details. I could tell by the tone of his voice that the process was taking a major toll and causing a high stress load.

As well as we may know friends and family members, we are reminded that God knows us even more intimately. In fact, He knows our needs before we even tell Him about them.

How often do we come to God with our needs, forgetting that He already knows them? However innocent our forgetfulness seems, we are somewhat forgetting who God is and what He can do, which then minimizes who we believe Him to be and therein what we accept Him to do in our lives.

He is our omniscient, all-providing Creator. He knows us inside and out. He knows every need: past, present, and future. He knows us better than anyone ever has or ever will. He knows our victories and our failures. He is our Savior.

These truths help remind us who He is and what He can do, which changes how we bring our needs to Him, remembering He already knows them and He will provide for us.

Earnestly seek how you should bring your needs to Him today.
