Then go quickly and tell his disciples: “He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.” Now I have told you. (Matt. 28:7)

WHEN SOMETHING IS IMPORTANT, urgency is usually heard in the speaker’s voice. When someone is in a hurry, we might comment that they seem to be walking with a purpose. When it comes to sharing what Jesus has done for us, do we express urgency?

An angel of the Lord wanted to say some things to the women who went to give Jesus’ body a proper burial. They listened to four messages. One told them to not be afraid. Another message told them Jesus was gone. A third message told them to take a look for themselves. And the last message instructed them to go and tell.

As we witness to others for Christ, we need the same assurances. We need courage. We need faith. We need experience. And, we need urgency. You are one day closer to eternity than you were yesterday. Today is the best day to rehearse your testimony. Today is the best day to tell someone about Jesus. Today is the best day to love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus is alive and wants as many as possible to accept Him as Savior. Jesus has given us His Holy Spirit to lead and guide us in a great daily relationship of living for Him. Today is the best day to tell others who don’t know Him yet. Tell them Jesus loves them and that there is forgiveness for their sins. Tell them you love them and will do your best to walk with Christ and share what you know about Him with them. What’s the key? Go quickly! Time is running out.

Spread the word that Jesus is the answer and the time to believe is now!
