The Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden. (Gen. 39:21)
Whatever trouble you’re going through, God can turn it around. Just ask Joseph. Time and time again God turned the tables on those who tried to bring Joseph down and oppose His plan for Joseph’s life. First, Joseph was rejected and sold into slavery by his jealous older brothers. God responded by helping him prosper and be successful in the home of Potiphar. Then Potiphar’s wife tried to seduce Joseph, but God helped his commitment remain strong in the face of her efforts. After that, Joseph wound up in prison, where again he flourished under God’s blessing.
You can’t prevent every temptation, every injustice, or every hurtful event heaped on you by others. You can, however, trust that God will have the final say over the outcome. Have you been demoted at work because of the slander of a coworker? Give God the opportunity to lift you back up and to give you an even better position than before. Are others closing you out of your family? Trust God to bring restoration to the relationship, resulting in an even stronger bond. Whatever the Enemy is attempting in your life, God is more than able to perform a turnaround for you. Not only will He rescue you; He will demonstrate His great power to those around you, giving them a chance to respond to His grace for their own lives.
Trust God to lift and restore you!
