I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel. (Joel 3:2)
HAVE YOU LOST ALL HOPE? Many of us have gone through so many bad things in this world, enough to think perhaps God has forgotten about us. In this passage, God is saying that He has a day and a time when He will restore fortunes to you. God will bring prosperity and wholeness to you, at the same time when the people who hurt you will be dealt with.
While you are enjoying peace, they will pay. God’s heart aches when others hurt us, and He sees everything. God’s people were scattered and sold. Even though Israel’s rebellion might have caused this to happen, God did not let it go. He was still looking after Israel’s restoration and the perpetrators’ punishment. God is looking after us as well. Even if a long time has passed, God will not forget injustices that happened to His people.
He watches when people ridicule, betray, or rob you of your rights. So what do you do? Keep hoping in God’s promise that He will take vengeance at His time. No doubts about it!
The Lord has spoken: He will do justice; you can hope in Him.
