And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Heb. 11:6)

BELIEVERS NEED MORE simple reminders of faith. My church accomplished this by selecting “Have Faith in God” as its motto. It is a phrase that carries a powerful punch. Congregants see it on everything from the Sunday morning announcements to merchandise sold in the church bookstore. It is a constant reminder to everyone that faith is the foundation of building a personal relationship with God and with people. When you think about it, faith represents a compilation of hopes, dreams, and aspirations throughout our lifetimes.

The Bible contains a plethora of faith-reminding facts. Jesus taught that the hope of a person should rest with God. The Lord clearly said that He is real and we are to believe in the existence and power of an almighty God and His Son, Jesus Christ. If we seek righteousness and encourage one another to be confident in our faith as we did when we first believed, the assurance of His faithfulness to reward us is achieved.

What faith reminders do you have on your daily journey? Whether it’s a glance during the week at your Sunday sermon notes or attendance at Bible study, every believer needs to be reminded of what faith can do in his or her life. Our ultimate goal is to do our best to please God, and when that is accomplished, the treasures stored up for us will be revealed.

To stay on track, walk the path of faith.
