The Lord remembers us and will bless us. (Ps. 115:12)

I HAVE ALWAYS HAD TROUBLE remembering names. I can usually remember a face, but I am not so good with the name. So when people come up and call me by name, I smile a lot and act like I remember them. But when I call George “Sam” he knows I don’t really remember him. I know it is important to him that I know him well enough to remember his name, but I still struggle.

Ask me the names of my children, and I will tell you. I named them, invested my life in them, and often called them by name. Though they have their own homes now and live a distance away, they are my children and I will never forget them or forget to pray for the needs I know they have.

Have you ever thought God had forgotten about you? As you struggle with life’s circumstances and feel that no one understands or cares, do you think that includes God? If you think you have reached the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on. He remembers you. He knows your name and you are important to Him. He knows your address and where He can reach you. He knows your needs, even before you ask. He remembers you and He will bless you. You are His child and He will never forget you.

Remember, when God pours out His blessing today He will not forget you.
