Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom. 8:39)

John woke up and told his wife Laura, “Same dream as the night before . . . and the night before that.” One of John’s most powerful memories often came alive in his dreams—especially when he was experiencing severe stress in his workplace. In his dream, John’s late father had come outside when John was only three years old and being treated harshly by some neighborhood children, who threw dirt at him and called him names. John’s father scooped up John into his arms and later called the other children’s parents, solving the issue permanently. John remembered the details clearly—especially the sensation that nothing could come between him and his father. This comforting scene played itself out in his dreams repeatedly as though it had happened just moments before.

God goes to great lengths to tell us that nothing can separate us from His love. The love that sent Jesus Christ to die for us cannot be limited, inhibited, or squelched by any person, force, or circumstance. God knows that there are countless “voices” that work to pull our attention away from His commitment to us. Have you ever been tempted to doubt God’s love? Ignore the lies of Satan whenever he tells you that God has forgotten you. And thank God for loving you and helping you to conquer sin through the power of His indwelling Holy Spirit.

Deepen your experience of God’s love by sharing it with others.
