A former Wesleyan pastor and his team of disaster relief specialists were working in Haiti when Hurricane Sandy hit the impoverished nation, just five days before it hit the United States’ east coast.
On December 10-12, Dr. Jo Anne Lyon personally visited sites in New York City and New Jersey that were devastated by Superstorm Sandy.
Wesleyans along the east coast are being strongly affected in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Recovery efforts from the storm will extend for weeks and possibly months.
