And he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts. (Ex. 35:31)

We were not born as empty vessels. Even before our conception, the Father had created the uniqueness of both our personality and abilities. No detail of our individuality missed His gaze and touch as He imprinted His special destiny upon our hearts. Having joyfully set our lives in motion, the Father continues taking each step with us, making available further revelation of our identity and purpose. Like dormant seeds waiting for light and water, we are equipped by God with specific talents and capabilities that cannot be compared to anyone else’s gifts. One of the Lord’s greatest joys comes when we seek and discover a new insight about our lives and its purpose to Him and to the rest of humanity.

Many of us spend our lives wondering who we are, when all along the answer lies within us. Self-discovery in the light of God brings us to the feet of our Creator. Only then can we love who God made us to be, as well as come to better understand our purpose for His kingdom.

The fabric of our lives contains heaven’s signature of both God’s design and His power. To live our lives fully means more than just believing God works through us. We must also confidently walk in the distinctive virtues we possess.

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal something you don’t know about yourself today.
