Thousands of people remain without power in Texas. The long process of restoring communities hit by Hurricane Ike has just begun. World Hope International, a compassionate relief partner with The Wesleyan Church, is currently working to clean homes and salvage belongings, but the number of requests pouring in has been overwhelming. Many more volunteers are needed to continue this work and expand WHI’s capacity to help. Relief work will continue through at least November 7.
