Listen to today’s devo!

You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God. (Rev. 5:10)

Drugs had taken control of Chad’s life. There were times he wanted to change, but he concluded that he was too far gone and too weak to change.

At the rescue mission where he was staying, he heard a preacher talking about God sitting upon a throne. Chad thought, “If God is king, he should be strong enough to be able to change me!” Another question quickly followed: “I wonder if God will accept me?” He then heard the preacher continue speaking about how God had made the people Jesus had purchased with his blood into kings and priests.

Chad testified, “I could hardly believe what I was hearing. Yet the Bible says it is so. The people Jesus purchased with his blood included people who had messed up their lives like I had. When I realized this, I decided to turn my life over to Jesus Christ!”

After surrendering his life to Christ, Chad began to change. God helped him to give up drugs; and soon after that, he reconciled with his parents with whom he had not had contact for over twenty years.

When I was introduced to Chad, he told me, “The grace of God is wonderful. My addiction put Christ on the cross; but God has forgiven me. My God is full of grace and glory.”

Allow God to transform you, and tell others he can transform them.
