The 155th session of the General Board was held at Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, Indiana, November 17-20, 2025. This November meeting had a full agenda with many highlights (included below) as the board made beginning steps toward the May 2026 gathering of the greater Wesleyan Church.

Jim Dunn
Dr. James Dunn was selected by the General Board to be their nominee for General Superintendent to be recommended to the 15th General Conference of The Wesleyan Church, May 17-20, 2026, at Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, Indiana. (You may read the full announcement here.) Additional nominations for General Superintendent by delegates will be allowed from the General Conference floor.
Twenty-one district superintendents joined the General Board from 1 p.m. Tuesday to noon Wednesday, providing input on memorials before the General Board convened as the Committee on Memorials Wednesday afternoon. The General Board invites district superintendents every quadrennium to share perspectives from their districts about memorials and to learn related information to share with their districts.
The Committee on Memorials convened to consider 54 memorials received by the November 1, 2025, submission deadline. The General Board will convene again as the Committee on Memorials in March 2026. All memorials will be published for public access no later than 60 days before the 15th General Conference.
Two position papers, “Wesleyan Church Position Statement on Immigration” and “A Wesleyan Approach to Race and Racism,” were approved. Wesleyan Church position papers are available at Wesleyan.org/gso/position-statements.
The General Board and district superintendents enthusiastically received a Praying on Offense (PROOF) presentation on Kingdom Force movement opportunities for district and local churches. The presentation made by board member Jeff Clark and other lay and clergy leaders was enthusiastically received.

Craig Dunn
The service and leadership of Craig Dunn, General Board member and Wesleyan Investment Foundation (WIF) and Wesleyan Pension Fund (WPF) chief executive officer was celebrated. Dr. Dunn retires as WIF CEO on December 31, 2025, and will continue to serve on the General Board as WPF CEO. Norwood Davis begins service as WIF CEO on January 1, 2026.
Annual reports were received from the Wesleyan Investment Foundation and Chief Financial Officer/General Treasurer Steve Glueck.
The 156th General Board session will be March 10-11, 2026, at Indiana Wesleyan University, the site of the 15th General Conference on May 17-20, 2026.
